Code of conduct and (anonymous) reporting
The Flemish Union of Students (VVS) works by and for volunteer students. As a voluntary organisation, we find it important that our events and meetings are a safe environment for all our volunteers, but also for our members, staff and external parties. Therefore, the initiative was taken to draw up a code of conduct and offer a possibility to report about persons, structures or behaviour within VVS.
Rather than a strict book of rules, the code of conduct aims to emphasise the creation of a pleasant, inclusive and safe environment where everyone feels comfortable and dares to speak out. We assume that our members and volunteers come to our meetings and events with good intentions and are committed to genuine participation. We believe that in this way we can work together towards a more democratic and quality higher education for all students.

Code of Conduct for volunteers and reports.
We believe that in this way we can work together towards a more democratic and quality higher education for all students. In the PDF reader, you will find the entire Code of Conduct for Volunteers in PDF form. You can browse in it or simply download the PDF, using the button below.
In the Code of Conduct, you will also find all information on reporting. How can you report? Who has access to your report? What happens procedurally to your report? And so on. Below you will also find flow charts with the possible procedures, depending on whether your report comes to us anonymously or not.
This code of conduct applies to all VVS volunteers, as defined in the organisation’s volunteer policy, at all VVS events, both those taking place physically and online.
